How to apply upgrade:
To upgrade from a previous Policy Patrol 7 version follow the next steps:
- Download the complete Policy Patrol installation from http://www.policypatrol.com/files/policypatro64l.exe.
- Double-click on policypatrol.exe.
- The installation will detect that a previous version already exists and will ask whether you wish to perform the upgrade. Select Yes.
- A dialog will pop up asking you to click Next to complete the installation. The installation will need to restart Internet Information Services. Click Next to continue.
- When the installation complete dialog pops up, click Finish.
There is no need to reboot your machine and your existing configuration will remain intact. The upgrade does require a restart of Internet Information Services which is done automatically after clicking ‘Next’ in the Welcome screen (see point 4 above).
Note: If you have a clustered installation, please follow the instructions above on each clustered node. The upgrade will require one or more restarts of Internet Information Services which can affect cluster availability.
