What's new in Policy Patrol 3.0?

Policy Patrol 3.0 includes the following new features:

Feature Benefit
Improved spam protection: Policy Patrol 3.0 includes Bayesian filtering, regular expressions and remote image blocking. By offering management features such as automatic email learning, the administrative burden of updating filters is significantly decreased.
User-based permissions: Policy Patrol now includes advanced permission flexibility. Administrators can offload tasks such as monitoring quarantined (spam) messages and updating white lists and black lists.
Internal compression: Policy Patrol 3.0 now provides compression and decompression for internal mails as well as external mails. Automatic compression of attachments provides bandwidth savings and allows for more rapid and flexible communications with external recipients.
Improved reporting: Policy Patrol offers extended reports, including reports on emails that were rejected by real-time black lists. Advanced reporting allows administrators to better support their user community with customized reports.
More & improved sample rules: More sample rules, templates and filters and regular updates (only available to maintenance holders). Continually updated templates and filters allow you to stay ahead of new spam and virus techniques.
Enhanced keyword filtering: Specify number of occurrences, more detailed reports of words found and their score and word pattern matching (regular expressions). Filters can now easily match variations of common spam words with a single regular expression.
Workflow options: Automatic folder tasks deleting or moving items to other folders after x number of days, and optionally sending a notification message. Workflow options provide administrators and managers with the possibility of automatically offloading tasks if the workload gets too much.
Spam Confidence Level: Integration with Outlook 2003 and Exchange 2003 anti-spam features. With Outlook and Exchange integration Policy Patrol users now have multiple layers of spam protection.
Recipient verification : Policy Patrol 3.0 can now reject mails not addressed to valid Active Directory recipients. Prevent NDR spam attacks and save bandwidth downloading spam messages and sending NDRs.
Throttle control: Prevent flooding of emails through virus or DoS attacks by sending a notification when more than x number of mails are in the queue or when throughput reaches a certain level. Preventing outgoing viruses eliminates the risk of sending viruses to your customers or partners and prevents unnecessary bandwidth usage.
