Policy Patrol stops spam on Exchange Server 2003
Microsoft-Certified Trainers deploy Policy Patrol email filter
Carson City, NV - October 15, 2003 - Red Earth Software, developer of spam filtering software, today announced that Policy Patrol is successfully blocking spam and adding disclaimers to several Exchange Server 2003 deployments. Amongst the deployments is a Microsoft Certified Trainer's collective that uses Policy Patrol for spam filtering, disclaimers, compression and delaying of large emails.
"Policy Patrol's fast adoption of Exchange Server 2003 allowed us to reap the benefits of the latest Exchange version whilst being able to rely on the email filtering capabilities that Policy Patrol offers", said Paul Heath, IT Manager of the Microsoft Certified Trainer's Collective in the Netherlands. "Our organization consists mainly of mobile workers who access their emails from home or on the road. The upgrade to Exchange Server 2003 brought significant improvements for our remote users by offering Outlook Web Access enhancements and extended support for mobile devices. Thanks to its integration with Exchange Server 2003, we were also able to deploy Policy Patrol to ensure that our network does not use up bandwidth downloading unwanted messages or unnecessary large attachments, whilst ensuring legal compliancy and providing protection by adding disclaimers to our emails".
"Before we implemented Policy Patrol we were using another spam filter", added Paul Heath. "We found the anti-spam solution to be limited in features and extremely labor intensive. Policy Patrol not only effectively blocks spam, but is also easy to administer. Since Policy Patrol allows you to create customizable rules based on specific conditions and exceptions, false positives can be avoided and maintenance can be kept to a minimum".
"Microsoft is excited about the successful deployments of Policy Patrol for Exchange Server 2003," said Chris Baker, group product manager for Exchange at Microsoft Corp. "Policy Patrol" s powerful email filtering features help Exchange Server 2003 users block spam and help ensure compliance with the company email policy. We are pleased that, through the support of industry partners such as Red Earth Software, our customers are able to extend the capabilities of the Exchange platform."
