Policy Patrol 64-bit adds advanced disclaimers and spam filtering to Exchange 2007
Campbell, CA – January 21, 2008 – Red Earth Software, developer of email content security software, today announced the release of Policy Patrol for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. Policy Patrol for Exchange 2007 fully integrates with Exchange 2007, allowing users to combine the email filtering features uniquely offered in Policy Patrol with those that are included in Exchange 2007.
Policy Patrol's advanced disclaimer features allow Exchange 2007 users to add more customized disclaimers and signatures than available as standard in Exchange 2007', says Mike Spykerman, CEO of Red Earth Software.
'With Policy Patrol, companies can add logos to their disclaimer, include Active Directory merge fields (which are especially useful for signatures), avoid multiple disclaimers, place the disclaimer or signature after the most recent message text and add different signatures on first messages and subsequent messages'.
Whilst making full use of the existing spam filtering features in Exchange 2007, Policy Patrol improves spam filtering rates by using additional anti-spam techniques such as gray listing and SURBL lists, and simplifies management by allowing users to check their own quarantined spam messages through a web console. 'The disadvantage of forwarding spam to the junk mail folder as Exchange 2007 does, is that users forget to check their junk mail folders and could leave legitimate messages sitting in there for days or even weeks', says Mike Spykerman. 'Instead, Policy Patrol can store spam messages on the server and send daily (or hourly) quarantine reports with a list of all newly quarantined messages, reminding users to check their spam messages. With its intelligent spam classification system, Policy Patrol can be configured to only include suspected spam in the quarantine report, allowing users to concentrate on suspected spam and avoid wasting time on known spam.'
